bristlenose trouble

i just noticed one of my bristlnoses seems to be all patchy. it looks as if small patches of skin have come off. what could this be? he was fine yesterday and he doesnt seem to have any other symptoms, it looks kinda nasty though....
any ideas?

What colour are the patches and if the skin is peeling, is sounds like this take a look.
