hi im new to the subject of bristlenose pelcos so i was wondering if i should swap my 4" CAE which costs around $20 for 2 bristlenose pelcos at $8 each? the CAE killed my last bristlenose and i dont want it anymore so is getting bristlenoses a good idea?
by the way the bristlenoses are about 1" so there only small

Does CAE mean Chinese algae eater? Bristlenose are fascinating fish, I would recommend them. If you can, get two of the opposite sex. Two males will fight over territory.

yes it is a Chinese algae eater and it kept on bumping into the bristle nose which was half its size and one day i found it dead at the bottom of the tank with the Chinese algae eater slowly eating it

yeah he is aggressive and he killed my bristlenose and i think hes going to kill my kuhlii loaches so im going to get rid of him ASAP

Did you whack it with your finger? It's punishment for misbehaving.

problem and its a big one ones larger and is growing faster than the other and is alot darker than the other and heres the problem...
its trying to kill the other!
when ever they meet in the tank the larger and darker one attacks it any help?

I tend to find that males grow alot faster than females are they fighting when you feed them as the larger one will push the smaller one away as he will want the first sitting

supply more caves and when putting food in for them spread it around the tank

hope this helps

cheers dane

my pet store dosnt get in caves so ill have to make my own i herd you can make caves out of PVC pipe? is there another type of home made cave? if so can you show me how to make them
