I just checked on him after he decided to venture out and noticed his bristle is red at the end,
I can only assume his caught it, worth buying and treating with primafix?
any species this is harmfull to??

Thanks in advance
Carl

any pics?

you say bristle, singular are any more showing the same signs?

It's un likely that he has caught it - could another fish have taken a nibble?

Is the skin broken in the red area, any swelling.
I would just add a bit of melafix to stop it getting infected.

I don't think any nibble has occurred As I have neon tetras,
Just looks red not swollen.
its hard to see as he is very shy thats for sure.

I have a bristlenose in both my tanks. As you say its hard to get a close look, but I saw mine last night (First time in about 2 weeks) and they are not red on him.

I would take wilders advice and put a day or two of melafix in.
