just wondering...what is their shoaling behavior like?

does anybody have any pics of their brigitte's shoaling or just the brigitte itself?

i have 12 of these and they dont shoal that well really.

i had them in with neons etc and they just hid ALL the time, i now have them in a species tank and they are more like scatter fish, EXTREME colouration due to the diet and tank size they have but they dont compare to the good ol' shoolers

what would you recommend nick? i want a confident but small fish that is colourful and shoals well...i have on the list: ember tetras, kubotai rasboaras, emerald eye rasboras and celestial danios

well ember tetras do shoal the best out of your choices but they are very common.

you could look at other small fish like lampeye's - there a chance they might shoal?

it does tend to be the slightly bigger fish that shoal better and look better as they are obviously bigger, things like harlequins and rummynoses, but i guess your pushed for space?

ive got a rio 125...and im trying to give the impression that its bigger than it appears.

i quite like emerald tetras as well...so im going to have a look round the shops at whats available

well most people use lighting and substrate to give this appearence.

1. slope the substrate heavily from front to back
2. have more lighting at the back of the tank
3. avoid using too many stems if you can, and just use plants like blyxa. stems mostly ruin the sense of depth although if you do use them right you can get away with it.

Briggittae are very cool little fish.
I had a Group of 20 in the 90G and they shoaled well, but over 50 in the 5*3*2 still looked tiny.
