Bright Light

So our new betta (Sushi) who we think might be sick, anyways, he stays on our poker table for now. We have a lamp light on the table, we are wondering if it is bad to shine the lamp light directly on the tank. Is this in anyway blinding the betta to much?

I wouldn't think there would be any problem at all with a light on him, every tank i have seen has bright lights... it is good for the fish, and brings out the colors so its good for us owners too. I wouldn't leave it on 24 hours though, fish need their sleep too.

Just keep an eye on the temperature it can raise it a bit if it is high wattage.
