Brichardi

I recently moved a pair of neo brichardi from my large tank, where they were regularly breeding, to a smaller tank. I needed the big tank for some other fish. Anyway, ever since being moved to the smaller tank, the fish have fought alot. Is this normal? They don't seem to be a loving pair like before.

Yup, the bond between the fish are often lost after a move. More then one aquarist has bought a 'pair' of fish only to find incompatability when they got home. If the fighting seems to get to dangerous levels you'll need to either divide the tank or remove one of them.

Are either one of them looking any worse? With brichardi, in my experience, if they are not trying to kill each other, then they will normally settle down after a bit....and more than likely breed again. I have moved mine countless times, had the same problem with the nipping and picking...but always end up loving each other again.
