Well here I am, back to owning and breeding bettas. Just got a female for my male betta, Jaws, and was wondering about how to do this again. Can someone refresh my memory for me please?

Set up a breeding tank, condition for 2 weeks on Blood worm, put male in tank with floating plant/half polystyrene cup, put female in chimney for behind barrier wait till male has built nest and release female, after they spawn remove female and keep an eye on the male and eggs :good:

sounds soooo easy when you look at that! trust me its not! before you even consider breeding do you have space to separate every single male that may come out of the spawn *and heat/clean them daily!* Fry will need cleaning daily feeding 3 times daily on live foods.

Separate tanks for both male and female once spawning is complete.

Most importantly a good quality pair! if your breeding Veils then chances are your going to have major problems finding them all homes as you find them everywhere
