how long can guppy fry stay in a breeding trap at a push

they can stay in there intill they are big anuff to come out of it! B)

Which type of trap have u got? Those plastic ones with a partition or like a net?

If it's those plastic ones, I wont leave them there for longer than 2 days, coz there's not much of a water flow in there, resulting in oxygen starvation.

If it's like a breeding net, then u can allow urself more time until u've set up a fry tank ready for them.

How many frys u have there?

i have a floaing plastic 1 with slits all over the side so a flow can get in about 20 in it

I dont not like the plastic one cause it is so small...but that is my opinion...

You say you have 20 fry in there...well I wouldnt keep them in there for too long, maybe only a few days, cause the space is small and it could stunt their growth or cause other problems..I would get at least a 5 gal to put the 20 babies in..even better a 10 gal

2 and a half would work until their big enogh to out into the tank with the big guppys
