I been trying to breed my livebearers, for months, the only fry I have had are from balt pregnant females, I have alot of young fish, I given up on the mollies now, and now conerntrating on Platties and Swordtails. Even my guppies would'nt breed.

so please help me out, the water is fine, they have Java moss, and they seem happy anothe. What can I do to make them want to love  ;) each other.

How much do you feed??

My b/f thinks that when I buy the fish, the LFS puts a fishy pill in the water to stop them breeding, so we don't take the fry back.

I don't think so somehow.

i have herd some strains of fancy guppies wont breed but its verry uncommon.
i dont know about teh other LBs but with guppies the first time they give birth they usualy dont have many babies. i had one give birth 3 weeks ago and only have 5 babies. if youe females are young and you have other fish in the tank theres a good chance babies got eaten befor they where even seen by you.

The best thing you can do which always works for me is...

Turn the lights down low...

Nice bit of food...

And put Barry White on the CD player.

:kana:
