hi all,
I'm going to be getting my 2 foot breeding tank soon, was wondering if any of you guys have had experience breeding any of the fish in my community tank (see sig.) and if so which may be the best for a beginner to start breeding, the male dwarf has built 3 nest's so far but has harrassed my previous 2 females to death, yes he killed them :( so have bought him 3 females now to try and spread his attentions, i might start with him, but have heard the fry are quite hard to raise. anyway, any helpful advice welcome, ta, D.

Out of those in your tank? Hmm... gouramis are your best bet, but yes, they are hard to raise. If you're brand new in breeding, try livebearers (guppies, platies, mollies, etc). They're best to start out with. I heard corys are fun to breed too, although they're harder than livebearers.

hi chibi, well i did think of breeding something else altogther but thought it'd be best to try with my wexisting stock so i can just swap them to and fro from tank to tank hopefully getting round to trying with all of them, besides i have bred guppys and danios before and they are so easy, i eant something that is not nessasarily hard, but worth the effort! (no disrespect to guppy or danio fans!) so will be sticking to my current stock, just wondering what may be the best starter! thank though m8.

Then I'd still try with the gouramis. :D It's a good challenge, but worth it to see the little buggers grow up.
