How long does it take for the eggs to hatchh??

Thxxx ^_^ its 6 am here and i just woke up i dont see any eggs in the nest :( maybe they r deep in it cause the father keeps swimming underneath it. How long till the eggs hatch?

yeh ull definatly know in 36 hours after breeding :) could just be in the nest my first spawn my male didnt really make a nest 1 bubble thick by about 2 inches long and 1" wide not really a nest so i saw my betta eggs but its good sign that hes gaurding the nest :)

Lol cause there r other fish in the tank but not on his side. Its about 1cm thick then like 4 cm thick in one place so maybe tey r all there.. I cant waitttt:D but i have school soon so i cant stay and watch out for them-_- then i have work again ouyy

Yeh I know that my male got so stressed after breeding he got white spot or velvet one of the two lol fully recovered

Also watch for postpartum depression as the males do suffer from depression after being separated from the fry mine didn't eat hardly anything for 3weeks! He had enough to keep him going but not enough he would be blown about by the flow of water if u cld call it a flow lol but he's recovered fit and healthy :)

I really don't want to sound rude but breeding isn't something that should be taken lightly, it requires A LOT of money, and space and time and research to make sure that it's done right... and that fact that you don't know how long it takes for eggs to hatch makes me think that you haven't researched it well... It's really not something that you should just jump into.

I just wanted to make sure it was 36 hrs i saw 24, 18,48, way to many numbers i just need sumones opinion is all :). And ive bred before but when i was 14 now im almost 17 and i know exactly what im doing, the only thing im scared of is if my fry will make it /: and yes my tank is seperated and they cant see each other so no distractions:)

Ok I understand :good: It just frustrates me how many people try and breed without having a clue about what they're doing, you know? Any pictures of the happy parents? :hyper:

I cant post the video :/ photobucket wont work .. Im gonna keep tryingg.. Theres like a lottle black hair looking think hanging down from the nest and im SOOOOOO curious lol i really hope its a baby.. It keeps swaying back and forth but theres no current the filters on the other side lolmy proud dad is scanning over the nest nonstop i love it :)
