Breeding Sterbai Corys

Hi Rocknurworld,

Corys will generally lay their eggs on anything which is available. The aquarium glass seems to be a favourite but i have seen them on plant leaves, the gravel, ornaments etc etc.

I have never bred Sterbais personally but i hear they can be a bit stubborn to get started sometimes. I recommend that you should perform 50% water changes 2 - 3 times per week and feed them heavily with live and frozen foods. This should egg them on a bit.

Good luck and let us know how it goes? :good:

BTT

so you think a bare tank is best or what should i put itn it?

Sorry, maybe i misunderstood.

Corys love to dig in sand, so sand substrate is best. Also, they will appreciate plenty of live plants for cover.
