I am planning to breed my red zebra danio and i have 4 male 1 female. Im planning to place one male and a female to the breeding tank. Can anyone tell me if the fish in the picture is ready to spawn or ill have to continue to wait or if is even a female. Today i place one male and one female. They have been curcling each other then i saw the male chase the other one. Since im not sure that if both of them are males, i dare not take the risk to leave them there. So i place them back into the main tank. Can anyone tell me if the things i use to replace marble is good enough to protect the egg? And im breeding them in a one gallon tank as i do not have enough pebbles for my other 5 gallon tank. Im planning to breed them there and once its done ill move the adults to the main tank and then place the breeding tank into a 5 gallon tank and keep the eggs in that 5 gallon tank.

How big is the main tank? 1g and 5g are way too small for zebra danios. They need a 4ft long tank. What do you plan to do with the fry?
These are glofish so if I recall correctly it is illegal for you to try and breed then sell them as they are trademarked.
