Well tomorrowv im off to get three German Blue Rams for my new planted 25 gallon tank. I was going to get two females and one male to increase the chance of mating and to lower the amount of agression as well. Is there any tips you guys could give me to help set them on the path to mating??

Thanks,

Connor

Well..

If a pair forms out of the three.. you should remove the odd female as that would only increase the aggression. Feed them fbws for a week to "condition" them. Make sure your filter intake is covered so the fry dont get sucked up. Give them several flat spots to choose from. Put some java fern in the tank for the fry to eat off of. Keep the tank as clean as possible as they are very sensitive. (ESP the fry) Make sure you water parameters are good for their needs or the eggs might fungus and not hatch. Have PATIENCE!! They do not always get it right for a while! It can take weeks!

Good luck :)

Already chatted thru pm.. but will put it here for others too.

To cover filter intake.. I used pantyhose and cut it to fit over the intake tube and used a rubber band to hold it on.

FBW's is frozen bloodworms :)
