I have just bought 5x Galaxy Rasbora and 4x Cherry Shrimp.

I was just wondering if the Galaxies will eat the shrimp eggs/babies and if the shrimp will eat the Galaxy eggs/babies.

It would be nice to be able to set up the two different breeding species

I have guppies and cherry shrimp in one 60L tank. The guppies are breeding and the shrimp population is increasing SLOWLY. I assumed and have recently been told that odds are the guppies will be predating on the shrimp young, only a few from each hatching will survive.

I suppose this will be the same with your setup. Just leave plenty of java moss for the wee shrimp to hide in like me and you will see a gradual increase in numbers.

Im attempting a new plan to have a much highersucess rate for my shrimp using the same one tank still with the guppies in it. If it works ill post my method here....

ok.
i have guppies in the next tank and compared to them the galaxies are WAY more skittish. im guessing this would mean they wont be looking for food as much as guppies so they might not get the shrimp eggs.

i bought 4 cherry shrimp today and one has eggs. would be nice to get some little ones!!

gl with your experiment, let me know how it goes
