breeding problems

Well ive been trying to breed my betta imbellis and i havent been successfl lately but the past few days i noticed that my male had lost his dark black color and has stress bars and he is clamping hs fins more, what can i do to help him? could the female be harassing him? she was ready to spawn and he wasnt.

I also just tried a spawn of my ct-mg pair and the female is a little she devils so i pulled her before any MAJOR damage was done but my poor buddy has a missing dorsal ray and missing caudal ray and a chunk from his anal fin, what besides salt can i add to help progress healing?
