I have a pair of blue platty's that have had fry three every month for the the past three. I was wondering if I can take the male out for awhile to give her a break and also they are in a 10 gallon and I am over loaded with babies and no room for more. I have called the lfs to see if they can take them and they are overstocked as well..Will they get depressed or what?

that might work but the problem with livebearers is that the females can hold sperm from the male for abot 5-6 months.

UGHHH, ya I have heard that they can hold the sperm for a few months..so should I just let nature do it's thing?

tha would be your best bet.some of the babies will survive.
