breeding platties and mollies

i've got a trio of platties and 1 of lyre tail mollies but nothing has happend yet, the female platties have a gravid spot and they have had this for a about 3 weeks, does this mean that they are pregnant? also how long is a fish pregant for before theyn have fry?
