Breeding Platies

hey all,
today i put a really fat (pregnant) female in a breeding net thing, after i did that there was a male following another hopefully prgenant female around, not letting any other fish near her(is this normally what males do)??? Also i have a pregnant guppy in another net, could i put the second platty in with the first or is the fry's chance of survival slimmer. If i can raise one batch i will probably let the fry fend for them selves next time.

Normal male behaviour so don't worry, to be honest I would let all the pregnant females have there babies in the tank, or you are going to be overun with fry.

Yer, i let them out yesterday. Survival of the fittist!!! Dont know if many will live long enough to grow up?!?!?! Have read a few posts about those net things and they didnt look very happy anywasys so i let them go.
