Fish Fanatic
They've had these in for a few months now though not even advertised as a pair, nevermind breeding pair. I normally do the rounds of local stores every couple of weeks to see whats in and these have been laying eggs every 3 weeks or so though today was the first time I had seen a successful hatching and the fry feeding off the parents coats. Seemed to only be around 40 fry or so as the store has never seemed too bothered about hatching and raising (they are fish for sale after all) but was lovely to see. Shame that they are running a cannister filter that will suck up half the fry as this is where the eggs are being laid.
Sad thing is, P@H don't normally stock this kind of fish and they really seem to be going to waste - the staff don't even know what strain of discus they are, just advertised as 'cichlids - £80 each or £150 for the pair'. What a waste.
