Breeding My New Pair

Well, not new exactly, but newest I've had them a little while and tried spawning the female a few weeks ago with my melano male but he ate the eggs After several attempts where he did that i've given up on him for the moment, reconditioned her, and conditioned the male from the same spawn as her and am now breeding them! They're in the tank at the moment. Female in her little glass container. I put them in about 40 mins ago. The male immediately flared at her, and she flared back He's now already started on his bubblenest though so fingers crossed for these ones!

WOW! they are a gawgeous pair... I adore the colors ~ greens are my favorite ! I hope they produce a bunch of healthy little fry, and this Daddy refrains from eating them. My babies will be committing some fishie-incest soon too I hope all of the babies come out as beautiful as their parents!

Im hoping for fry with the females colouring as she's my favourite betta! Her colour is much nicer than in that terrible pic

Well, im not too sure i'll get any fry the way things are going!!

I released the female and the male went psycho!! He just chased her round the tank constantly and everytime she tried to go to the bubblenest to ''inspect' it he started chasing her again.. She wasn't looking so good so i've put her back in her container thing and i'll leave it a bit longer to see if he calms down.. I've never had this problem before! The male is evil

The male seems to be doing a good job so hopefully these babies will make it. I've had a few problems with my last two attempts. The first ones died overnight, and im still not sure why and the second ones died as i had a powercut overnight and didn't realise that the heater and stuff hadn't come back on in the morning and they all died

I have TWO heaters in this one and have been checking them all the time so fingers crossed nothing goes wrong this time and i will have some babies for sale in a couple of months!
