Breeding Is Worrying

the female that was always breeding died a few munths back and i have never been able to breed any of the other females the one thats dead poor dear was the queen of the tank she was big for a female i think cuz the others i have never have gotten that big she was near the size of a near mature moon light (oh she was a brown color of the blue gourami breed and she was bigger then my males im trying to breed now with a difrent 2 with not much luck at it i probly will give up again on and try buying anuther female cuz i have 3 still but they dont seem intrested in breeding ...........the females i have should be mature anuth but they just dont seem intrested and the males not happy about it i no the male in there is okay at breeding cuz its the one that in the passed was one of the breeding one .......to top things off the pet shop has asked if when they breed if i want to sell them to them or trade them for other fish i no i dont have to do it but i would like to cuz i no the guy and i like breeding fish i think i will ask if he can get in a female lavender gourami theres no other name to call them is there when ordering them ? (oh and any coments or storys of gouramis are welcome cuz i like hearing about them)

Yeah you should get another female. In my tank one gourami was king and the other one never recovered.

oh ??did your king gourami die ?did they miss him cuz he was good to them or will they never recover cuz he would attack them ?

If you have lost the main breeding female it might be worth adding some plants doing something in the tank and add another female to the mix at the same time, (try get one the same size as the others in the tank)

In the past to breed gourami, having one male to 3 females is the way to go, gives the guy a choice. More chance of producing something..
