Breeding Guppy's For Sale well within reason

what would the best way to get the best looking guppies i got a not so pretty male at Petco, yea its the only real LFS, pretty sad. I know that if you get the best parents then its a good chance that you will have good fry, but i've seen people take really not so good looking bettas and make them look really good how?

i am not really sure so i am going to just give you my opinion I think it is by whatever the female gives you. They have so many babies all at once that i am sure you will find what you are looking for if you keep the fry separated and away from any other fish. o do know for sure it takes about three months once the fry are born to tell what colors you are going to have. Well, in truth it is hard to get good guppies from average strain. Basically you have to select exactly what you want from the lfs, breed it with the best female you have and see what myou get. Then select the best males out of that litter that fit your criteria and mate them to the mother. Then take the best daughters of that batch and mate them to the father. this will establish a minor line from there its a matter of in-breeding and crossing out. The best way however is to spend the money and buy good quality guppies from a good breeder on the net.
