Ive got about 5 females and 6 male guppies and i think there trying to breed what is the best way to do this i have a breeding cage or shall i just them in the tank baring in mind there a lots of other fish in there aswell cheers

When the female are looking fat and kinda squared off, move them into the breeding trap, and they will eventually drop the fry.

If you keep them in the main tank, they will probably get eaten, unless you have a load of plants for them to hide in.

Yeh i do but i would rather put them in a breeding trap just incase they get eaten thanks alot for the advice

If you put them in a breeding trap, there is a higher chance she will become stressed and actually abort the fry.
Ideally another tank is better, even something like 5L is better, just as long as you:
1) Either have it properly cycled, or
2) Do daily 95% water changes.

Im quite new to fish keeping but it is my understanding that you should have 2 females to 1 male guppy.

As you have more males than females, be careful you dont get any fighting

I thought it was more to keep the females from getting too much attention all the time, and stressing them out.

Mind you, I dont really keep livebearers.

That is advised, but not essential, I've kept entire tanks of males before and had absolutely no fighting apart from sorting out dominance.

its recommended 2 females to 1 male so that the males do not hound one female to the point she gets stressed.
