i have recently got
2 male guppies and 4 females and have heard they are quite the breeders=p
all of my females are currently pregnant because i can clearly see there gravid spots completely black
but im just wondering when should i put one into a breeding net or if they do not need this.
i do not want hundreds of babies but some would be nice

what is the best way to breed them?
when do i remove mother?
how do i look after fry?
anything else i should know?
thanks for your help
=D

if u dont want babies then leave the females out cuz the other fish will eat the fry. if u want some babies u can put the moms in breeding traps. if u hav plants tho then the moms can giv birth in the main tank cuz the fry will hide but some will be eaten. the fry grow big enuf over time that their parents cant eat them. i suggest getting another tank if u can cuz that will cause less stress to the moms giving birth. to feed fry, u can buy fry food and live or frozen foods, or u can crush adult food into a fine powder, but fry foods r specially designed 2 make fry grow faster. hope this helps and good luck! -heart  , ally86ozzy

I agree if you want only some to survive, do not put the females in a breeding net, most of them will get eaten then, as long as you give alot of hiding spaces usually some survive :)
