I just bought i male and one female guppy. The female stomach is pretty fat the lfs told me its gonna breed. I want to ask if i should get a breeder nest or no need for it. I want to know if guppies are bottom dwellers or keep on the top. How long will it stay like this?

Guppies are a mid to upper region of the tank although they do use the whole area.

Guppies tend to give birth every 28 days and if you have other fish in there then you get very few fry as all fish, even guppies like to eat fry.
You can get breeding nets and what i would suggest is catching the fry after they are born and place them in a net.

Good luck.

Ok thanks for the quick reply. So i need it.

Ok thanks for the quick reply. So i need it. How can i know how much she has pregnant?

If the belly is well rounded then not flat then that's a good start, if she looks like she gonna pop then she's close, Thats the easy way.

Above the anal fin you get a black mark which is called a gravid spot and 8-10 days before giving birth you can sometimes see fry eye's looking out!!!

there is a detailed topic in the livebearer section showing illustrations of what you can expect to see though different stages of guppy pregnancy :good:
