Hello
I am thinking of setting up three 14g tank for breeding some guppies.
What would be the best:
fish tank conditions?
fish tank temperture?
lighting?
ornaments (shelter) in tank?

as much help appreciated :D .
Cheers :good:

well 14 gal won't hold alot of adult fish

but will work say use 2 for breeding and one for babies

Java moss will be great for babies to hide - so they don't get eatin

i put it across the bottom and say maybe some plastic breeding grass on top in the breeding tanks --
in the baby tank i leave it empty more for fish space

temp -- around 76-78 -- lighting don't really matter

ph i thou they liked higher ph

they like some aqua salt

guppies are messy

i put 1 great lookin male and say 4 females in both tanks

oh ok
thanks for help i was going to put some sort of plastic mesh for babies to go thrugh and adults cant get through but if you think urs is better say
thanks for help :D

well that might work

i figger if breed in 2 tanks

just take all babyies and put in 3 rd tank then no chance of them getting eatin

but plant will help in breeding tank so if u don't get to them in time they can hide till u see then and take them out

plastic may work thou but if the guppies se them good chance thay will eat them

ye i think its good idea about breeding in 2 and babys in 3rd think i might put plastic and plants just for double saftey
thanks

i personally think you should use 1 tank for breeding, (one pair) because once pregnant the female will have fry every four weeks or so, so you will quickly get over run. this is talking from experience with guppies ;)
