Hi all, i have a breeding pair of firemouth cichlids in my community tank. But the male is now starting to bully the female. I noticed about ,3 days ago, the breading tubes on the fish, so i thought they were at it again, but now they are gone and the male constantly chases the female round the tank, and she is getting pretty battered up from him, and swimming past the rocks, catching her self on the sharp edges.
So what should i do? Will they breed again?

Thanks in advance

It sounds like the female was not quite ready to breed yet, even though her tubes were down. I have seen this before and the male most likely does still want to breed. If the female starts to look too stressed remove the male, let her recover for a week then re add the male. They will most likely breed again after a few days of re-introducing the male.

Hmm i would say that is it, as the female is very small, and this will be batch no 2.
Thanks!
Just need to fine a temporary home for the male.
