hey there, i have a 200litre tank and i am breeding 3 different sorts of fish in atm, they are all from lake malawi, i am concerned they might interbreed so can i please have everyones opions and help, cheers, this is what i am breeding in the tank:

3 Melanochromis Interruptus 1 male/2 female

4 Dragon Blood Peacocks 2 males/2 females

3 Lombardi (Pseudotropheus lombardoi) 1 male/2 female.

you should be ok with that selection, becaue they are not the same genus, plus they all look totally different, hybridisation should not take place

Try telling them to my male Melanochromis Cyaneorhabdos and my female albino Pseudotropheus Socolofi - you couldn't get much more different in terms of species or colouration but i currently have 2 fry from these guys.

That said, you should actually be fine as Mbuna are unlikely to interbreed when there are fish of different genders from the same genus and species present. :good:
