I would like to know if possible and anyone sucessfull.

Right now I has big Fat Albino female ready to spawn and she need boy friend, I do have a male Albino but want to know another kind of cory will able to mate with Albino.

What kind of this Cory albino?

Thank you

Hi PC1963 :)

Corydoras do not usually breed with corys of other species than their own. Efforts to cause them to do so are frowned upon by more responsible cory keepers.

you say albino, but to be honest there are 3 types of albino that I know of:

- Bronze
- Peppered
- Sterbai

As the others have said cross breeding isn't realy seen in cory's but then you mayget lucky and find two species that are closely related enough to do it. but the most common species are not close enough.
Hybridisation can cause problems to the fry as well, but if you still want to try, go to the hybrid forum, here in TFF and see what advice can be offered there.

Studz, do you mean there are 3 types of Aeneus? As in Pepper, Albino and Bronze?

as for cross breeding, i tried this once, just as a test. I did not take any of the eggs and let them all be eaten, but i put a pepper female who was HEAVILY pregnant in with my 10 Albino breeding troop and she spawned with them. These are of the Aeneus genera and probably why they spawned together. As i said though, all the eggs were eaten as i did not wish to remove them.

no....

As I said there are 3 varitants of albino@

Albino form of BRONZE
Albino form of Peppered
Albino form of Sterbai

THREE different species all with albino strains, which are readily available

just an addition I'd say the pic was a sterbai albino
