Hi everyone,

Thinking of breeding/growing brine shrimp.

Can I expect a good return?

How can I lower the costings? I know how to make the set up...couple of bottles, air line, pump etc. but what about the other bits apart from the eggs...do I need the "special salt" and food for the shrimp etc? Obviously want to make this as cheap as possible. The 3 boxes from JBL come to around £15-£18...if this is the option how many batches could I get (I know it depends on the hatching etc).

Will the fish eat the first hatchlings, or best to move them to a tank so they can grow?

Any advise would be appreciated.

How do they compare to frozen that I'm using now...? Costings/nutrients to the fish etc?

The tank is a Juwel 190 with about 40 fish in..RO water.....external filter etc...

Also what sort of amount to do as a batch at a time...I take it you can nett them out as and when you need them?

The fish do have a mixed diet of flake, different pellets and brine etc.

Thanks,

Steve.
