I released my female today and she was swimming around for a while and everything seemed to be ok. Now she is laying in the corner doing nothing. Although she is still heavley barred and fat from her eggs. Should I worry or keep them together still?

thats normal female behaviour. she is avoiding the male and saving her strength because the male will most likely chase her if she swims around. she is hiding behind or under something right? i would leave them together and see what develops.

Yes she is laying underneath the floating plastic plants that i have in there. Also have real plants too. Also I tried the cup method for the nest and he doesnt like that, so i used wax paper and it works. is that ok?

whatever works for you is good right? i know it's hard but try not to pay too much attention to them right now, keep the tank covered with paper or something to give them as much privacy as required, check up on them of course to see that everyone is ok every now and then and hopefully things will go smoothly. ;)

female just lays there during breeding time huh? from my experience that sounds like she's from Pennsylvania :p ....i wish my ex could see this

keep us updated!
