Breeding age??

I was wondering if anyone knows, at what age do Swordies start to breed??

livebearers start reproducing at an early age. My about 2 or so mounth old guppy already makes love to my females. which i might add are 3 times his size and no not his siblings.

HHmmmm .... then I don't feel so silly.... I have a swordie baby who is 6 months old and is really porky I was hoping it was just cause she is eating well.... We'll see

My 8 week old male swordtails are also starting to take interest in their sisters

I read the guppies start to sexually develop at the age of 6WEEKS!!!!!!! That's hard to believe! But they say you can sex them at that age and if you dont separate the boys and girls, you could wind up with even MORE fry!

As for the micheal jackson thing, he molests boys, but thats close enough!

thogh they are capable at 2-4 months of age, female livebeaers shouldn't be bred untill they are the appropriate size to handle it. could hurt them, but males are redy to go at 3 months
