Ok, I got my 10g with my 2 betta's, so far I've got 2 plants in it, one on each side, I forgot what it's called. It had some crazy name, but it's basically an upward growing blade-grass like plant.

I can't find a place around be that sells dwarf hairgrass, but that really looks good. I wish I could get some.

But since I can't, what type of carpet plant would go good in a 10g with two 25W light bulbs?

Or is there anyone out there who I could buy some dwarf hairgrass off of? The places near me have hardly any choice. :X

But yeah, I just think it would look so much more attractive than bare-white rocks.

25 watts over 10 gals IMO is low to medium lighting... try to look for some dwarf saggitaria :) or cover the front with wood covered in java moss or something ;) hope this helps

The shops near me don't sell that kind of stuff...

Anyone on here sell it, or know a good website I could get it off without paying a fortune?

ebay has java moss, i just bought some. The quality and price depends on the seller.

Is java moss a plant that goes across the bottom and not up?

I'll have to google up a pic, cause I always thought java moss was an ugly plant...But I'm not even sure if I've actually seen some before.

Edit-

Just googled...Some good pics, some bad. But it looks like if it grows in a nice organized clump it might look good.

Thanks, I'll see if I can get a hold of some of that.

Anything special I should know about it?

I have 2 other plants in the tank, will java moss cover and kill those? How can I control where it goes?

java moss is a plant that clings to a surfce like wood of slate.. it doesnt have actual roots growing out of it.. meaning you dont actually plant it but more of attach it to a surface :)

How can I attatch it while avoiding putting wood or any other decor in there?

I'd prefer to have it bare of things like that...

Is there a way I could just stick it in the gravel or something?

I probably sound like an idiot to you guys asking this stuff, but I know ZIP about plants. XD

haha :D

anways a thing you could do is to attach it to a metal mesh and tying cottong thread around it, sooner or later it will cling, but i think with java moss it woudn't look that good ? hmmm i suggest you start looking into saggitaria species :) go to this site
www.plantgeek.net and look at their plant guide and plant selection gallery for more information

Saggitaria...-trys to remember that- I'll have a look into that. Thanks. ^_^

Ooh, Ryo, that one's not bad looking. ^_^ I'll consider buying some from that site. Thanks. :)
