Visited quite a few LFS and i am starting to get ideas of how to stock after my 'fishless Cycle'

so far :

6 Glowlight Tetra
3 Albino cory
1 bristlenose pleco
6 peal danio
6 harlequins
6 Neon Tetra

any suggestions or complications with this ? maybe another bottom dweller, i'm a great fan of smaller shoaling fish, thanks for the advice to come!

Ideally you'd have more Albino Cories than 3.

Also, instead of having four groups of six fish what about 2 groups of twelve? Cardinals tetras look great in a big school and are nicer and hardier than neons in my opinion.

6 Cory
12 Cardinals
12 Harlequins
1 Bristlenose

You could probably fit a pair or trio of honey gourami in there too or maybe a pair of Bolivian Rams.

Just be aware Bristlenose plecs are very very messy!
I think the 12 Cardinals and 12 Harlequins would look brilliant though.

I think most schooling fish look best in large groups.. definitely +1 for two species, even more so for only one species! What size is the tank?

Agree, although I'm pretty bad for mixing things up to be honest

Thanks for the great advice,

corys were amazing and so much character , so i guess they make the list....was looking at the rams as well as it happens.

Any ideas on less messy slightly smaller alternative to the Bristlenose?

Your right the colour contrast between the Cardinals and Harlequins would be excellent

Not sure on the Rams , more research needed i think.

Tank arrives Monday so just want to have a well derived plan and direction of where i want to end up, once the fishless cycling marathon is complete!!

If you're going with cories I'd recommend sand as your substrate, they'll appreciate it.

Instead of the bristlenose you could have more corys or if you're thinking of algae eating then a group of oto's would work.
I had a big bristlenose once and I hardly ever saw him.

In a planted tank cardinals and harlequins would be look amazing.

Bolivian Rams are great little characters.

125L /33 Gal ...Kat

Was going for a sand substrate for the less 'abrasion' factor on the corys
