I am not looking to find out if I can keep em or not, but I am looking for what you know about clownfish having babies. Thanx

Just bought this little book from Amazon myself, Clownfishes in the Aquarium by Gregory B. Skomal, if your interested in Clownfish then its a little gem.
Hardcover, you can even get it new from other sellers for as little as £2.99 plus P&P
All what you have asked and more is covered in this neat little book.

Well this is what I got so far.

1. Once the eyes getsilver that means they will hatch soon
2. they hatch in about 7 days
3. They usually hatch at night after the lights are out
4. they are attracted by light

Also correct me if I am wrong.

Those are the basics yes. The fact that your clowns are breeding indicates that they are very healthy, so way to go :good:. Also know that they will continue to breed so long as water conditions remain stable.

That's good that might get me ready for the next time. How often to they do it? I am in the process of moving into a larger tank. (Pics coming :))

Usually a week after a clutch hatches they will lay again. Moving tanks will interrupt their mating cycle and will take them months to get back on it.

Oh and if you do ever get serious about breeding clownfish, pick up "Clownfishes" by Joyce Wilkerson. Not cheap, but it's pretty much the bible on clownfish and breeding them.

Breeding them is not my first priority right now. I'll see what happens when they get loose in the tank...if they survive great if they don't that's ok as well. Like I said I am moving to a larger tank. Thanx for all the info. I will go check my lfs see if they have rotifers. I read somewhere that the youngs will eat that.
