For the 10 gallon setup for bumble bee gobies that I asked about a few days ago, what plants are good and will work in water with a SG of 1.005 or so. Will that work with amazon sword or did the people who posted that mean fake amazon sword? I don't have much experience with live plants because they are somewhat dificult to come by here in Utah.

Yes, I have had java fern in a low end brackish for over two weeks now and it's doing fine. I have heard java fern, java moss, and anubias are all options. I've even heard someone say val is OK.

For bumble bee gobies the SG should be 1.005 MAXIMUM, so lower is arguably better. Plants wont grow well at 1.005 or higher, so I strongly reccomend keeping the SG varying between 1.001-1.004. Amazon sword will not tolerate brackish waters. But you do have other options including java fern, java moss, vallisneria, onion plant, bacopa, and tiger lotuses. There are some other plants that seem to be tolerant of brackish water also, so research your options.

As AMS says, there are a lot more brackish water plants than people often realise.

For bumblebees, where an SG of 1.003 is perhaps a better bet, your list includes pretty much anything tolerant of hard, alkaline water. There's a whole section of brackish plants in my FAQ, here:
