I set up AC's yeast method in my 80litre and I'm getting about 60BPM on it at the moment and just wondered if that may be too much???

do you have a drop checker, Steve?

1 BPM is alright, but there are many other factors to take into account. The fish are normally a good indicator, are they at the top gasping?

No they're fine but then there should be plenty of oxygen as its pretty full of flourishing plants, no not got a drop checker.

Good levels of oxygen doesnt mean that CO2 wont be high. They dont directly influence one another.
Low CO2 doesnt mean high O2. And low O2 doesnt mean high CO2.
We want good levels of both gases and it is possible to achieve that. Get yourself a drop checker ;)

You ask the first question asking if it may be too much and then answer it with the fish being fine.

If it were too much the fish would not be fine.

bpm or bps are subjective. A higher or lower rate does not necessarily indicate higher or lower injection rate.

It is pure and simple something the user gauges. Then the user can see if the rate drops or increases via the bubble rate.
