Bought Some Live Crickets For My Oscar Today

Oh my did he go crazy for them

I bought a dozen and fed him 4 so far

it's awesome seeing him hunt them down even thogh they can't move fast in water. He just gets right under them and then makes a big snap sound as he eats them. and he's not even 3 inches long yet!!

our golden yellow panchax went mad for them as well, although it took her about 10 minutes to eat one, she snapped it as soon as it hit the water

Do bettas eat crickets? I was wondering if I should buy them... . I think they dont but its always worth a try .

for bettas to manage them they would have to be very small ones, probable hatchlings.

My betta eats "flightless fruit flies". You drop them in the water and they sort of "hop" a little and this catches my betta's attention and then he eats them. It's fun to watch.

they can eat pinhead crickets

when i threw them in the 50 for the golden wonder, the platies would taste the crickets, sometimes biting a leg off or something... no the best thing IMO

pinhead sized crickets would be good for bettas, but i've only seen them once in the pet store
