Bought a reptile wood decoration??

Hey guy i just bought a large decoration but it says its for reptiles on it. Also, on the tag it says CAUTION: Not reccomneded for fish tanks???I love the way it looks and was wondering if it can be used?? ANyone??

I think you've answered your own question. It says CAUTION: Not reccomneded for fish tanks - so why take a chance?

I know but it just matches my tank so perfectly, i guess ill return it.

I've seen them too, and they are usually so pretty that it's very tempting to buy one. But, if it says not to use them in aquariums, it's best not to take a chance.

It's impossible to know where the wood came from and how it was processed. Perhaps some caustic or other poisonous chemicals were used to bleach it and process it some way. It's just not worth taking the risk.

Okay thanks guys, ill just go return and get something else. I wouldnt want to risk my fishes lives
