had 13 babies from the golden last night ( bought saturday lunch)

funny thing is.. she didnt even look pregnant !!

HOWEVER, the green female is HUGE and in the birthing tank as we speak eheheheheh

o yeah and one of my guppies dropped on friday !!

so that female is in a tank on her own recovering... and when i feel shes ready, i will be introducing her to one of the new male lyretails that i bought at the weekend !!

HAPPY DAYS !

Thats great!
A little word of warning though.I bought a big pregnant green lyretail molly about 6/7 weeks ago.She gave birth to 30 fry the next day and 10 of those have survived.Of the 10 ,8 are dalmation coloured and only 2 are green.Neither of the green ones look like they are going to be lyretailed either.
So dont be too disappointed if you get a bit of a mix of fry for a while.

Congratulations on the babies you have, and the babies soon to come. :D Pictures would be nice.... ;)

Everytime you say your "Happy Days!" I always get that song stuck in my head! :look:

AND this morning the green sailfin becomes a mommy !!

BABIES BABIES EVERYWHERE !!

They are defo green as well and not marble... had a CLOSE inspection of them.

Taken the mommy out of the birthing tank and into the hospital tank for some r&r. At the count there were 22 babies..... which i will move to the nursery tank this evening when i get home from work :)

just to confirm..... i was refering my lyretail guppies in with the female guppie. Soz for any confusion there :)

o yeah, and i also found another 5 golden sailfin fry this morning in the birthing tank..... little buggers must have been hiding when they saw the big nasty green net coming hehehehe

and just for anna...

Congratulations on even more babies! :D

Awww, Lyretail Guppies, I hope you get some fry! My little stinkers never got the lyretail trait, at least in dominant form. :X

Hehe, thanks for the song! I am going to think of that everytime I see one of your posts now, it's ingrained...your own little theme song.

well, im hoping to eventually get a decent strain of lyretail going eventually. I think they are gorgeous and i know they are hard to come by... well in the UK they are anyway!

i may even change my name to Fonz !

OH.
Lyretail guppys.They are stunning fish.
Looks as if you are going to be kept very busy for the next while
Good luck.
I must start reading threads properly :*) Its old age!I remember Happy Days when it originally started.I saw a rerun recently and realised that I hate them all as much now as I did then
My sister fancied Chachi---he had a lucky escape!

Yeah, Lyretails aren't that common here either. My LFS has them in maybe once every two months, but that's about it. I'm not going back into Guppies, otherwise I'd get some and breed some. I need to get my 90g set up and cycled before I think about breeding more fish though. I'd love to see pictures if/when you do breed them, though.

No Spooky,do not call yourself Fonz
You will spend so much time looking into every mirror you pass that you will start to neglect the fish.
Plus,we will have to burst into a round of applause every time you come on to the forum!

So true! All the fish will be like "Okay...he hasn't done a water change in 2 weeks now. Are there prettier fish in the mirror or something :( ". And don't forget, we'd have to start whistling too. And I can't whistle for my life. :X

Anyway, are you keeping all these fry together? You must have a pretty darn big fry tank.

just to confirm....

29 from the green

32 from the golden.

all out of the birthing tank now and in the nursery causing havoc with the other children !
