Last night, after my guppy had her babies, I noticed the black guppy that I bought died, so of course I took it back today (14 day guarentee) so I bought 2 new guppies, a yellow one with an orange tail, and another black one, which turned out to be hugely pregnant, so now I have 14 day old babies, and then I have more on the way! :good:
I'm selling them all to the pet store and my local fish club, so I have no problems with all these babies!
I can't wait till she has them, she looks really big, and starting to square off, so hopefully tonight she'll have her babies! :)

Umm,.. so ya, she did have her babies last night, but while she was in the trap, my silver sailfin molly decided to jump in the trap and eat all the babies whilst I was asleep
Stupid molly! lol
The female guppy is fine though, well, I'm pretty sure she has had them, she was huge last night, she's still fat today, but not nearly as big as last night. So I assume she had them?

Well, hmm,, now I'm not so sure if she had her babies, she's still fat, espessically around her "chest" area and her stomach, I don't know if I should leave her in the 5 gallon tank to give birth, cuz I dunno if she even had em, or maybe she did,... :|

lol i couldnt tell you as i didnt see a before and after!

did you leave her in the trap WITH a molly? usually molly dont eat their own fry, but dunno about eating another species of fry

guppies however, love fry for tea....

it wouldnt hurt to leave her in the birthing tank for a bit (unless there is fry already in there...)

No, the molly jumped in, lol
the fry are in the tank right now, so I have her in a big breeder box, I know the boxes aren't good for them, but I have 3 day old guppy fry that I don't want to be eaten, so I'm kinda at a loss,. :(

I just checked on her right now, it kinda looks like an opening near her anal fin, I know my mollies have a birthing tube before they give birth, but this is kinda hard to tell on her, so I have no idea if she is still pregnant.

I guess I can just wait and see, but I don't want to stress her out to much, and I don't want to put her in the community tank incase she is pregnant and has her babies in there, (I'm selling the babies when their older)

right, by what the majority say on here, it sounds like her canal is still open, leave her where she is as moving her more will stress her again, turn off lights and try to cover her so she is nice and dark

your other option, if i have this right, could be to put her in the baby tank IN the breeding trap for the night if youre worried about mollies jumping in again?

at the end of the day, you need to do what makes you more comfortable and happy :good:

Ya, I think she might be giving birth, so I'm going to leave her in the trap (she's in the fry tank) but in the breeding trap, so now my molly won't be able to jump in again, (he's upstairs in the 20 gallon tank)
thanks!

youre welcome!

that would be one hell of a jump!

keep us updated, and if anything, PICS :p

just shout if i can help anymore, i'll do my best :D

Hey, I took her out and put her in the main tank this morning, still no babies, so I dunno,.. lol :/

i cant help buddy :S

without knowing what she looked like before, after etc.

sounds like she might have had them and enjoyed a snack, or mr molly did
