You'll have to get us some pics of the tank once you give it a clean, so we can see your progress as you set it up and start cycling. 
You can buy them brand new with all equipment needed, along with treatments, food, and plants for around £80 in any store.. I got my 132gal for about $250USD with lights, cover glass, filter and iron stand and I thought I got a good deal, Wow what a good buy, good for you! I have never paid more than £30 for a tank, and that was for a 5fter, most of mine have cost £10-£20. I look in www.ad-trader.co.uk and my local paper, there is usually at least one of the size I am looking for at a cheap price. Local recycling centers are good too, I've recently found out that a relative of mine works in one and he says there are often tanks brought in complete with heaters, filters etc.
Thats a massive move for them.
