I'd like to get a "bottom dweller" for my 90lt tank, what is something that wont outgrow me?

Stocking etc is in my profile.

Hmm you're working with about 24 U.S. gallons so there are lots of options.

The two i would recommend are either cory cats Or Kuhli loaches, we have both in our tank and love 'em

Check out the tropical fish index and see what you come up with :)

There are a lot of different cory species you could work with here. If you go into your local shop they will most likely have some bariety of them. Most if not all are as playful as each other and great fun to watch, however the 3 species I find the most in shops are the Bronze cory, Albino, and Peppered. None of these have specific needs unsuibtable for your tank and should be easy enough to pick up and research. They are definately one of the most active and playful bottom dwellers and would be a great addition to ur tank. Just remeber tho, which ever species u get you will need to get at least 5 as they like to play in groups. :good:

I would definately reccomend these to that tank.

Well, I'd go for an entertainment lawyer, but they'd probably outgrow your tank.

Actually, loaches are my favorite bottom dwellers. Botia striata stays under 4", B. kubotai under 5", and B. almorhae under 6". The first two are entirely peaceful, and the last mostly so. Very active. Definite personality. Like to dance.

Alternately, if you're looking for something along the lines of cories, but not so small, I have heard and read nothing but good things about hoplo and porthole catfish. Stay under 8", keep a pair to 5.

I have albino and panda cories, I would say the Panda's are much more entertaining.

everyone has some great ideas for you. If you are looking for a plec, you could also do the bristlenose or albino bristlenose. (see the pic in my avatar).
There is a pinned topic on smaller plecs good for smaller tanks, if thats a route you want to take.
ottos are good at algae removal and a fairly small, you could get 3-6 of those, but they are very sensitve and woud need a mature tank.

I would say what everyone else has suggested with getting some sort of fish in the Corydoras family. There's plenty of different cory catfish varities out there. Your things like a Bristlenose Pleco or even a Zebra Pleco (if you can find one) might also work. I'd just stay away from the common Pleco/Plecostomus as they can get quite huge.

Check out my aquarium database. Here is a search for "Bottom dweller"

http://www.aquariumdatabase.com/fishdb_lis...=bottom+dweller

It yielded 23 hits. you can then click on the column titles to sort the results by something, like "Min Tank Volume" I also recently added a button to switch the unts to metric, if you are used to liters / centimeters.

The database lists many useful specs on each species, and a link to a fish profile, usually from the species index on this site.
