Currently I have 1 ~2.5" male (it appears to be a male at least) Green Terror (Gold Saum) and 5 Giant Danios in a 50 gallon (48"W X 12.5"D X 18.75"H). I would like to complete this tank with a bottom presence. It has been suggested that a BN Pleco would do well in this setup, and if that is my only option, I will be fine with that; however, I would like a little more activity. I have a gravel substrate--it's not fine gravel, but it is smooth. I also have 5 plastic plants, a small/medium sized lava rock, and a large resin stump/driftwood piece that offers a bit of cover and shade. The only other addition to this tank will be a SMALL bit of Java Moss that I plan to prune meticulously so I will continue to have a GT tank with Java Moss, not a Java Moss tank with a GT

I would love to hear what other people have as bottom dwellers with their GTs, and I welcome any and all suggestions for what I could add that will coexist and be healthy and happy in my current tank. I would like an active presence--preferably a shoal if possible--but will ultimately add whatever is the best choice overall.

Thanks in advance,

Jon

Really the plec is about it, unless you can find some other armoured catfish that once the GT matures, he couldnt beat up.

Thanks minxfishy--in fact, I believe you were the one to suggest the BN to begin with. I was afraid that my choices would be severely limited, but was hoping just the same.

Someone else might be able to think of a better option, Im not particularly knowledgable on catfish species, so there might be something else, but I know for sure, that normal corydoras would be toast. Not sure about syndo species, as I know some of them can be kept with African cichlids so are fairly tough.

I believe I did see a post here about Synodontis eupterus or Synodontis decorus being able to coexist with a Green Terror, but that was after a couple of hours of searching with really no definitive results. I figured it would just be easier to start my own thread. Hopefully some of the catfish experts will chime in and shed some light on this. Thanks again for your advice minxfishy--as always, it's appreciated!
