Bosemani Rainbow Fish Stocking Question

Hi I am planning my 50 gallon us additions, I was wondering if I could get 3 males that would live together peacefully or is a male female mix better, If so what is a good ratio the tank is 4ft long

All males would be OK, but they will only display their full colours in the presance of females

Keeping only males is fine. I have 3 in my 55gal and they get along fine. If you do plan on getting females you would want 2 females and 1 male. Females I have been told are uncommon compared to males since most are raised with hormones. They will most likely breed even in a community tank. Also look for larger fish, cuz it will be easier to tell the males from the females.

you will find that males would be better as they have more splendid colors but sexing is very hard to almost impossible when they are juveniles and you will have to hope for more males
