Borneo Sucker Butterfly Pleco -Advice Needed

Saw these advertised on Ebay. Look cool and I'm seriously tempted. Has anyone kept these - are they easy to keep and breed? Confusing info on Google - some say they are coldwater loaches that can be kept with goldfish, others recommend tropical temp.

• should I keep them with my goldfish or can they go in tropical tank with a tame 8in common plec and aggressive 3 spot gourami?
• is gravel substrate OK or do they need sand?
• do they have to have live food or can they eat wafers, sinking pellets, courgettes and other plec food?

  They prefer cooler temps, 22-24.
• is gravel substrate OK or do they need sand?
  Doesn't really matter as they will spend all day on the glass.
• do they have to have live food or can they eat wafers, sinking pellets, courgettes and other plec food?
  Exactly the same as plecs.

  Should be noted they need a very high oxygen and flow rate in the water.

i have them and the above poster has got it spot on

they are actually meat eaters and won't really touch your algae. I kept these for a couple of years and tried to move them over to tropical and they didn't do very well.
