Bonus!

Having spent well over 400 pound on tanks and equipment at my local Peter Barretts I recently received £24 in vouchers.

I thought to myself, ill treat my tanks to a couple of new fish! Having wanted Denisoni Barbs for so long but not being able to find any in any of my LFS I was going to buy a few otto's, and was quite happy about this.

Law and behold Peter barrets had about 12 young Denisoni Barbs! going 3 for 15 pound so i thought right ill get two otto's (1.50ea) and 4 Denisoni ( 3 for 15 or 6ea) so the lady who serves me, who i must say i didnt agree with putting all 4 and two ottos and a free shrimp in the same bag. She pops round the back and gives me the bag which upon noticing has £18 written on the side!

Couldnt hide my joy so thought i would tell you all

They sure did, i did drive like a lunatic on the motorway to get home as i did have to wait quite a while to get served and there wasnt much water!

they are all free now and colours have perked a bit also very happy with the quality of them too, which is sometimes a downside of PB

Just keep an eye on the ottos, they can be very sensitive, have they nice fat tummys. Did you cycle the tank first.

i just went into shirley aquatics today and they sell denison barbs at £12.95 each.. i thought that was a bit of a rip off.. you got a bargain.

£12.95 for denisoni barbs isn't a rip off, they go for far more than that in places right now! 3 for £15 is a real bargain, my lfs has 8 4" ones in for £12.50 each or 2 for £23, he said i can have the lot for £80 which is very cheap at that size! can't get them as i still have the arowana!
i hope your tank is cycled mate!!! none of the fish would last to long if not! good luck with them and a good bargain

Of course its cycled haha, been setup going over 3 month now, had some residents in it but i had them while someone moved, it was fine plenty of algae for the otto's one went straight and lied on a moss ball i had, was like it had been waiting for it all its life.

At the moment i placed them all in the 60 litre which yes i know i know! too small but im moving a bunch of tetras to this 60 and putting the dens in in the next few days, they are lovely and healthy too!!
