This is For some of you who don't know the difference. Until recently i found it a struggle to notice the difference between male and female bolivian Rams until i looked closely at my own. I have a gorgeous Male and 3 females with a range of cichlids at the moment. The male is large and much different in the tail than the female, far more pointed tip tail with the top fin much the same. He is about 4cm. But you'll notice the difference in the pic with 2 as one is female the other male. Spot the difference. Male is on the LEFT female in the background rounded tail.

Hope it helps, ive been trying to figure out the difference for ages... and then i took the time to spot the difference. Finally found it!!! hehe

the difference between them is that the female has a pink colouration on her tummy and the male doesn't of course? I think that is butterfly rams infact, but yeah the dorsal fin on the male will be more pointed and sharp like the other fins too.
:good:
oh yeah I noticed that the males fins are more define and sharper compared to the female, I find that on alot of cichlid when sexing
