very pretty! do you have a pair or two males or two females? i'm thinking of getting some but don't know know which sexes to get, that is if i can even tell them apart

I am not sure what sex they are. Maybe someone can help me out in this area.
I seen them i my LFS one day. I couldn't decide wether or not by buy them because of their pale and dull color. I've had then for 2 months now and their color is amazing. I also enjoy watching them swim up to the glass when I'm around. They are both 2 inches long. The more colorful of the 2 is a bit smaller and longer, the other is rounder.

Lovely fish. I think the fully pictured one is a female, my male has longer spines in the first few sections of the dorsal. The other I cant see see well enough, these fish are difficult to sex as they dont subscribe to all the rules, i.e. male is more colourful, male has more pointed fins.

If you are lucky, you will get a male that meets all the rules and a female that does the opposite. Then again, you might get home and find that the rules made no difference and they are both males :S

Both mine have a pink belly today, it that time of the week :p wednesday ish, they will have golden bellies. If I do any major work in the tank i.e. prunning plants, they will be colourless, thats why I think its hard to sex them.
